Tulsa livestock auction report
The Tulsa livestock auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,213 head selling on July 9, compared to 1,597 head a week ago and 2,202 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers were selling $3 to $5 higher. Quality was good. Demand was good. Receipts included 21% over 600 pounds and 43% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $3 to $4 lower. A total of 445 cows and bulls sold with 97% going to packers.
