Ericson Livestock Auction report

The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 2,100 head selling on Aug. 11, compared to 1,814 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.

This was the first reported sale in recent weeks so a trend is not applicable. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd. The calf and feeder supply included 78% steers with nearly 92% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
