The Gerritt is spacious and inviting

The split-level Gerritt (405-51) has a very contemporary look with a large dormer over the garage. A covered walkway has a clean, open look vaulted to the second floor, with the entry set back and opening into the kitchen area. The u-shaped kitchen provides an abundance of counter space.

Beyond the eating bar is the bay-windowed dining room and living room area. Large, open space emanates from the combined rooms, with French doors opening out of the living room onto the patio in the rear. The fireplace is located on the same wall as the bay window and allows enjoyment of the fire from both the dining room and the living room.

The Gerritt is unique in that there are two bedrooms: the master suite and the large guest room off the entry. A private bath with a skylight accents the guest room, but the best part is the walk-through in the bathroom area to a door that opens onto the deck in the rear containing a spa.

Across from the bay window in the dining room is the stairs to the second floor. At the landing of the stairs is a full utility room with a door into the water heater. There is also another full bath with a shower located in this area for guests to use if the loft is being used as a bedroom.

As you turn and go the rest of the way up the stairs to the full second story, there is a loft space that can be used for another sleeping area if needed. It contains a full walk-in closet, handy for storing office supplies or clothes. This room looks down on the living room, but can be closed off for privacy.

The master suite has two skylights, which provide extra light for the main room of the suite. There is a walk-in closet that has a storage area behind one of the shelves. The private bath has two sinks with an oversized shower.

The Gerritt would be ideal for the narrow lots that are becoming more and more common. It does, however, provide a spacious living area. This would be ideal for the empty nester with only visiting family. Gracious living, open space, great lighting, and many amenities—the Gerritt fulfils all of these.
