The rural communities that make up southeastern Colorado have a new provider of Reinke Irrigation products, 1st Choice Irrigation.

The company was founded by local farmers who have had agricultural ties to the area for decades. Paul Casper, Jared Gardner and Matthew Gardner started the irrigation supply company to assist farmers in August 2022.

Not only has 1st Choice been providing agriculturalists with brand name products it also offers services to repair damaged irrigation systems.

The Gardners, Casper, and all employees value customer relationships and the work farmers and ranchers do to keep local agriculture alive. With community ties, the company is able to provide individualized agricultural solutions, products, and prices while supporting the local economy.

Co-owner Paul Casper says, “We felt that this area was being underserved and overpriced in the irrigation supply aspect of the industry, which is why we decided to come together and become suppliers to all in need.”

The idea behind 1st Choice Irrigation began when irrigation products were not readily available to farmers and ranchers when emergencies arose. If products were available, pricing was not in line; which is why 1st Choice works to set prices accounting for the surrounding small economies.

Those who are involved in this line of work, and dedicate so many hours of their lives working in agriculture, should have easy access to the equipment needed for their livelihood, the owners say.
