The Oklahoma State University Beef Extension team will host three Rancher’s Thursday Lunchtime Series sessions in February. The hour-long webinars will focus on implementing timed artificial insemination and selection programs designed to achieve a high level of fertility in commercial cow herds.

The Rancher’s Thursday Lunchtime Series is free of charge as experienced ranchers and scientists join to share production, management and marketing tips. The following sessions will begin at noon via Zoom.

The Feb. 8 session will feature Dr. Guillermo de Nava, DVM, discussing controlled reproductive management in grazing cow-calf operations. Feb. 15 will feature de Nava discussing breeding a cow herd for superior fertility in grazing conditions. And Feb. 22 has Dr. Richard Prather, DVM, discussing successful timed artificial insemination programs in commercial herds.
