Viticulture field day highlights latest grape research

Grape growers, winemakers and enthusiasts are invited to attend a viticulture field day at the University of Missouri Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center on July 17.

The free event, from 1 to 5 p.m. at 14548 Highway H, Mount Vernon, will focus on grape production, research and industry updates. The program will feature educational sessions and field tours on topics such as irrigation technology, pest and disease management in grapevines, and recent research on grape varieties, including Chambourcin and muscadine grapes.

Speakers include representatives from the Missouri Department of Agriculture, MU and the University of Arkansas, as well as industry professionals. Participants are encouraged to register in advance at https://pears.io/events/mu/6398.
