The Minnesota Interagency Soil Health Workgroup is excited to share three new educational videos designed to promote soil health practices that benefit both agricultural productivity and water quality.

The video series features Minnesota farmer Alex Udermann, of Meadowbrook Dairy, who shares his experiences implementing soil health practices, including cover crops and reduced tillage. The videos also highlight how healthy soils help improve water infiltration, reduce erosion, and protect drinking water resources.

VIDEO 1: Soil Health

Learn how healthy soils filter and recharge groundwater that local communities rely on.

VIDEO 2: Cover Crops

Discover how cover crops can improve soil structure, increase earthworm communities, and help reduce
flooding and erosion.

VIDEO 3: No Till Practices

Learn about the benefits of conservation tillage and no-till practices. No-till farming is a sustainable agricultural practice for growing crops without disturbing the soil through tillage or turning it over.

Please help spread the word by sharing this video with producers and any other interested groups. To help increase awareness of soil health practices and their role in protecting our soil, water, and future.
