Companies have pact to boost precision sprayers

Fast Ag Solutions, Windom, Minnesota, a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of application equipment, has entered into an agreement with PTx, Tremont, Illinois, which allows growers to order Precision Planting Symphony Nozzle and Symphony Vision products factory installed on Fast Sprayers, starting with orders in January.

Fast will offer the Symphony Nozzle system on nearly all sprayer models ranging from 60- to 135-feet booms and tank sizes from 1,050 to -5,000 gallons. Symphony Vision will be offered on limited sprayer models to start, with the plan to have availability for nearly all Fast Sprayer models starting in July 2026. Symphony Nozzle and Symphony Vision will be fully integrated into Fast’s sprayer design with custom camera mounts and boom structure along with Fast’s AutoYaw hydraulic boom cushioning on 120-feet plus sprayers that are designed to support the added weight of cameras.

“We are very excited to expand the technology offering on our sprayers and to partner with Precision Planting given their strong reputation and commitment to innovation and product support,” said Cody Fast, president, Fast Ag Solutions. “Fast has focused on offering the latest spraying technology on our sprayers which has been proven to increase efficiency and quality of spraying. Offering the Precision Planting Symphony platform of products will provide an excellent way to take these benefits to the next level by providing chemical savings along with the potential yield and environmental benefits of spot spraying with cameras.”

Precision Planting Symphony Nozzle is a pulse width modulated nozzle control system that provides growers independent control of rate and pressure, giving the operator complete control over their nozzles and driving consistent droplet size. Controlled through the 20|20, Symphony Nozzle also provides nozzle-by-nozzle control of turn compensation and swath control. Precision Planting Symphony Vision builds on Symphony Nozzle and utilizes cameras mounted on the sprayer to see weeds and crops, while distinguishing between them. Sympho nyVision allows for variable rate and targeted spraying based on weed severity detected by the cameras.

“This agreement with Fast Ag Solutions provides farmers with the opportunity to purchase their Fast sprayers with the Symphony family of products to improve spraying efficacy and provide herbicide cost savings,” says Tom Brubaker, director of OEM sales for PTx.  “We look forward to working together to bring these Symphony-equipped Fast sprayers to market through the Fast network in coming seasons.”

Fast Ag Solutions dealers who offer the sprayers with the Precision Planting Symphony family of products will receive training from both the Fast team and the Precision Planting team to provide top notch operational training and service to growers who purchase Symphony Nozzle and Symphony Vision equipped Fast sprayers.
