Williams rejoins Kansas Sorghum as director of emerging markets
Kansas Sorghum has hired Sanders Williams as director of emerging markets.
Williams will begin serving in her role starting in April, where her responsibilities will include maintaining strong connections to Kansas farmers enrolled in National Sorghum Producers’ Advancing Markets for Producers initiative and other special projects related to sorghum market development programs.

Williams returns to Kansas Sorghum for this new role in the organization after first serving farmers in 2021 as a Kansas Sorghum Collegiate Fellow, hosted through K-State’s Flinchbaugh Food and Ag Policy Fellowship Program.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sanders back to Kansas Sorghum,” said Adam York, KSP CEO. “Between then and now, she has made impactful contributions for our sorghum organizations and Kansas agriculture as a whole serving farmers. As we look to expand and place greater emphasis on market development priorities at Kansas Sorghum, Sanders will continue to play a key role in building sorghum producer profitability moving forward.”
Williams graduated from K-State in 2023 with a major in agriculture economics with a pre-law focus. After graduation, she worked at the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Sustainable Intensification. Most recently, Williams has worked for National Sorghum Producers as a conservation implementation specialist since 2023.
“I’m so excited to be back working with the Kansas Sorghum team,” Williams said. “I thoroughly enjoyed my time on staff as a Fellow, and I look forward to growing alongside the organization as I step into my role as director of emerging markets.”
Williams resides in Wichita, where she is an active volunteer throughout her community in her spare time.
