The Kansas Department of Transportation continues to seek public input through May 1 to help develop the 2027 Statewide Freight and Rail Plan.
The plan, updated every four years, guides freight movement across Kansas and shapes state transportation investments. Public comments help KDOT identify freight priorities across the state, including needs along rural highways and rail corridors.
KDOT encourages the public to submit comments at ksdot.gov/freight-rail-plan before the upcoming May 1 deadline. KDOT expects to complete the plan by spring of 2027.
