The Montana Beef Council has elected officers to lead the organization.
During its Aug. 20 meeting in Billings, the MBC board of directors elected Jake Callantine of Bozeman as president and Justin Iverson of Potomac as vice president. The two-year leadership team will help guide MBC’s efforts to invest checkoff dollars in promotion, education and research programs designed to strengthen demand for beef.
MBC also recognized Andy Kellom for his 10 years of service on the Montana Beef Council board of directors. Kellom was appointed to the board by the Montana Cattle Feeders Association and has represented Montana’s cattle feeding industry during his time on the board. The MBC board said his dedication to the industry and work ethic have helped guide the council’s investments and programs on behalf of Montana’s beef producers.
