Cash bids higher

Compared to last week, cash bids for corn, sorghum, soybeans and wheat were higher according to USDA reported prices, Nov. 10.

For the week ending Nov. 5, a decrease of 50,533 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 106,566 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 9,092 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an decrease of 31,315 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending Oct. 30, reported a slight increase at 961,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was unchanged to up 9 cents.  Corn was up 15 1/2 cents.  Sorghum was up 15 1/2 cents.  Soybeans were up 28 1/2 to 35 1/2 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $5.54 3/4.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.67 1/2, down 2 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, unavailable; Portland, $6.05 to $6.30, unchanged to up 10 cents; St. Louis, $6.07 1/2 to $6.27 1/2, down 4 1/2 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.92 1/2 to $4.04 1/2, up 3/4 cent; Minneapolis, $3.75 to $4.22 1/2, up 12 3/4 to 15 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $3.70 1/2 to $4.26, down 7 1/4 to up 2 1/4 cents; Omaha, $3.72 1/2 to $3.82 1/2, up 3/4 cent.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $10.80 1/2 to $10.95 1/2, up 9 cents; Minneapolis, $10.90 to $11.17 1/4, up 22 1/2 to 35 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $10.70 to $11.06 1/2, up 2 to 12 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $11.19 to $11.61, up 28 1/2 to 35 1/2 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 10, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $6.51 1/2 to $6.61 1/2, up 9 cents; 12% protein, $6.86 1/2 to $6.96 1/2, up 9 cents; 13% protein, $6.96 1/2 to $7.06 1/2, up 9 cents; 14% protein, $7.06 1/2 to $7.16 1/2, up 9 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
