Tulsa Livestock Auction report
The Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,594 head selling on June 4, compared to 2,339 head on May 21 and 2,840 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to the May 21 sale, steers were selling mostly steady. Heifers were selling $2 to $3 higher. Demand was good. Quality was average, few attractive. Receipts included 21% over 600 pounds and 50% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $3 to $5 higher. A total of 392 cows and bulls sold with 66% going to packers.
