High Plains direct slaughter cattle sales report
High Plains weekly weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Nov. 4, totaled 81,900 head selling, compared to 130,954 head a week ago and 117,538 head last year, according to the USDA Livestock, Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 26,562 head, 1,285 to 1,625 lbs., 110.00 to 116.00 (114.61); 65 to 80% Choice, 18,210 head, 1,300 to 1,550 lbs., 113.50 to 116.00 (115.38); 35 to 65% Choice, 4,372 head, 1,200 to 1,400 lbs., 115.00 to 116.00 (115.25). Dressed delivered basis, over 80% Choice, 2,486 head, 735 to 1,024 lbs., 180.00 to 182.00 (180.31); 65 to 80% Choice, 390 head, 896 to 953 lbs., 180.00.
