The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for March 29, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $10.14 1/4; May corn, $7.26 1/4; and May soybeans, $16.43.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $10.89 1/4 to $11.34 1/4, down 42 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.23 1/4 to $8.36 1/4, down 22 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $17.73 to $17.76, down 21 5 1/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $9.39 1/4 to $9.49 1/4.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $9.34 to $10.05.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $9.34 1/4 to $10.45 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $9.09 1/4 to $9.30 1/2.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $9.39 1/4 to $9.59 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $9.21 1/4 to $9.59 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $9.14 1/4 to $9.19 1/2.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.43 1/2 to $7.48 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.88 1/2 to $7.27 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.03 1/2 to $7.23 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.16 1/4 to $7.81 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.38 1/2 to $7.06 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.03 1/2 to $7.21 1/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $15.18 3/4 to $15.58.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15 to $17 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $37.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.44 to $7.49. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $42 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $46. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $43. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
