BLM announces winners of various awards

At the Public Lands Council annual meeting in September in Grand Junction, Colorado, the Bureau of Land Management announced winners of the 2024 Rangeland Stewardship and Rangeland Innovation Awards to recognize exemplary management and outstanding accomplishments in restoring and maintaining the health of public rangelands.

Two winners were from the High Plains Journal coverage area.

The Rangeland Stewardship Award—Collaborative Team Category winner is Ranchers Stewardship Alliance of Malta, Montana, nominated by the Malta and Glasgow field offices, BLM Montana/Dakotas.

The Rangeland Innovation Award—Permittee Category winners are the families of Niels and John Hansen of PH Livestock in Rawlins, Wyoming. They were nominated by the Rawlins Field Office, BLM Wyoming.
