Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 3,000 head selling on Feb. 10, compared to 2,975 head a week ago and 4,790 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers over 600 pounds were selling $2 to $5 lower and heifers over 600 pounds were selling steady to $2 lower. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd with internet activity noticed. The feeder supply included 46% steers and 54% heifers with near 80% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
