Producers in the Rolling Plains region are starting to wrap up their harvest season. Yield reports from this region ranged from 2 – 15 bushels per acre.
Harvest crews in the Northern Blacklands are still waiting on fields to dry after recent storms. Test weights were averaging 58 – 59 pounds per bushel before the rain delays.
Combines continue to run in the Southern High Plains and Panhandle, despite the rain received this past weekend.
A forecast of hot, mostly dry weather across much of Texas this week should provide much-needed relief for harvest crews, allowing producers to return to the field and make progress after recent rain delays.
