Cash bids mostly higher

Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly higher for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans according to USDA reported prices, April 26.

For the week ending April 21, an increase of 475,446 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 401,925 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 158,228 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 154,690 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending April 15, had a decrease at 947,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 12 1/2 cents to down 3 1/2 cents. Corn up 3 1/2 cents. Sorghum was down 3 to 4 1/2 cents. Soybeans were up 1 3/4 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City May wheat was $11.57 3/4.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $11.69 1/2, up 11 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $13.77 3/4, up 12 1/2 cents; Portland, $10.50 to $11.35, unchanged; St. Louis, $10.92 1/2, up 21 1/4 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $8.16 1/2 to $8.31 1/2, up 3 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $7.69 1/4 to $7.76 1/4, up 3 cents; southern Iowa, $7.87 1/4 to $7.92 1/4, up 7 to 4 cents; Omaha, $7.68 1/2 to $7.85 1/2, up 6 1/2 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $16.71 3/4 to $17.91 3/4, down 3 1 2/ cents; Minneapolis, $16.66 1/4 to $16.70 1/4, up 1 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $16.97 1/4 to $17.02 1/4, up 1 3/4 to 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $16.90 1/4 to $17.50 1/4, up 1 3/4 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices April 26, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $14.17 3/4 to $14.27 3/4, up 12 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $14.50 3/4 to $14.60 3/4, up 12 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $14.05 3/4 to $14.60 3/4, up 12 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $14.50 3/4 to $14.60 3/4, up 12 1/2 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
