Corn Refiners Association Hires Jonathan Stephens

The Corn Refiners Association has hired Jonathan Stephens as its new project and policy manager. In this role, Stephens will support a variety of efforts, including the Carbohydrate Check Sample Program, the weekly CRA Trade Update, research work and more.

“We are excited to add Jonathan’s industry experience, strong work ethic, and diverse skill set to our talented staff,” said CRA President and CEO John Bode. “The contributions that Jonathan will provide in this new position will be incredibly valuable as we work to serve CRA members and advance the ag bioeconomy.”

Stephens joins CRA from Mathematica Inc., where he worked as a research assistant analyzing school meal costs and food quality for the National School Foods Study. He has also completed internships in the offices of the International Fresh Produce Association and National Farmers Union.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Stephens holds a bachelor’s degree in food science.

In addition to his responsibilities with CRA, Stephens will support the Plant Based Products Council’s membership recruitment efforts.

“CRA does important work to advance corn products and American food and agriculture, and I’m excited to join the team,” Stephens said. “This industry offers a valuable opportunity to advance American agriculture, and I am eager to support the efforts to advance the policy priorities of the ag bioeconomy.”
