The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for April 27, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $7.33 3/4; May corn, $6.95 1/2; and May soybeans, $15.49 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.87 3/4 to $8.33 3/4, down 6 1/4 to 20 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.21 1/2 to $7.61 1/2, up 1 to 15 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $8.39 1/2 to $8.45 1/2, up 9 to 3 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.35 1/2 to $16.19 3/4, down 13 3/4 to 19 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.69 to $6.82.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.84 to $7.19.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.84 1/4 to $7.19 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.34 1/4 to $6.59 1/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.64 1/4 to $6.94 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.79 1/4 to $6.94 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.34 1/4 to $6.59 1/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.09 1/2 to $7.50 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.41 1/2 to $7.35 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.02 1/2 to $7.30 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.35 1/2 to $7.65 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.76 1/2 to $6.83 1/2 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.15 1/2 to $7.50 1/2.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $14.59 3/4 to $14.84 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $28.50 to $34 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $22.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.10 to $7.51. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $30 to $33 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $30 to $33. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $46.
