The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Aug. 10, reported in futures trading that Chicago September soft red winter wheat was $7.27; September corn, $5.49 1/4; and August soybeans, $14.47 1/2.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.37 to $7.47, up 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.39 1/4 to $6.54 1/4, down 1 to 16 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.03 1/4 to $7.34 1/4, down 1/2 to 1 cent; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.91 3/4 to 15.03 3/4, change unavailable.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.83 to $6.84.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.94 to $7.34.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.94 1/4 to $7.34 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.54 1/4 to $6.79 1/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.74 1/4 to $6.99 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.14 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.54 1/4 to $6.69 1/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.99 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.29 1/4 to $6.64 1/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.49 1/4 to $6.29 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $6.44 1/4 to $6.59 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.29 1/4 to $6.37 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.49 1/4 to $5.94 1/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.66 3/4 to $13.06 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15 to $16 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $30 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $35-$38 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $38 to $41. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $40 to $43. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $35 to $37. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $48.
