The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Oct. 5, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $7.44 3/4; December corn, $5.37 1/2; and November soybeans, $12.50 1/2.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.17 1/4 to $8.37 1/4, down 11 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.15 1/2 to $6.17 1/2, down 3 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $13.20 1/2 to $13.23 1/2, up 14 3/4 to 9 3/4 cents .
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.96 to $7.05.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.21 to $7.61.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $7.21 to $7.61.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.71 to $6.96.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.91 to $7.06.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.01 to $7.41.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.71 to $6.91.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.77 1/2 to $6.17 1/2.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.32 1/2 to $5.57 1/2.
In east central Colorado, corn was $5.27 1/2 to $5.42 1/2.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.62 1/2 to $5.72 1/2.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.22 1/2 to $5.32 1/2 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.22 1/2 to $5.47 1/2.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $11.70 1/2 to $12 1/2.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $18.50 to $19 per cwt.
Sunflowers were $30 to $31 per cwt.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $48 to $50. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $48 to $49. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $44 to $49.
