Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Nov. 23, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $8.56; December corn, $5.80 1/2; and January 22 soybeans, $12.73.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $9.51 to $9.61, up 20 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.49 1/2 to $6.53 1/2, up 20 3/4 to 14 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $13.50 to $13.51, up 5 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $8.62 3/4.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $8.59 to $8.89.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $8.58 3/4 to $8.88 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $8.08 3/4 to $8.33 3/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $8.28 3/4 to $8.43 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $8.38 3/4 to $8.83 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $8.08 3/4 to $8.28 3/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.40 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.80 1/2 to $6.10 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.70 1/2 to $6.05 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $6.05 1/2 to $6.20 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.85 1/2 to $5.87 1/2 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.65 1/2 to $5.90 1/2.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $11.98 to $12.13.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $16.25 to $17 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $32 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.41. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45 to $47. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $48. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $44 to $45.
