Grain market close
The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Sept. 21, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $6.90 1/2; December corn, $5.17; and November soybeans, $12.74.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.35 1/4 to $7.40 1/4, down 10 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $5.95 to $5.97, down 4 3/4 to 2 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, unavailable.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.49.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.71 to $7.11.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.70 1/2 to $7.01 1/2.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.20 1/2 to $6.45 1/2.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.40 1/2 to $6.55 1/2.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.50 1/2 to $6.90 1/2.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.20 1/24 to $7.40 1/2.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.2 to $7.02.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.12 to $6.07.
In east central Colorado, corn was $5.07 to $5.17.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.42 to $5.52.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.27 to $5.77 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.17 to $5.32.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.14 to $12.34.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $18 to $18.50 per cwt.
Sunflowers were $30.50 per cwt.
In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.52 to $7.02. Barley was unavailable.
In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $48. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $48. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $48 to $49.
