The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Sept. 22, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $5.54 3/4; December corn, $3.69 3/4; and November soybeans, $10.22 1/2.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $5.98 to $6.03, down 1 3/4 to 8 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.29 1/4 to $4.42 3/4, up 1 1/2 to down 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $5.62 1/4, down 1/2 cent; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $10.85 3/4 to $11.04 1/2, down 2 3/4 to 3 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $4.46 3/4 to $4.49 3/4.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $4.61 3/4 to $5.01 3/4.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $4.61 3/4 to $5.01 3/4.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $4.27 3/4 to $4.51 3/4.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $4.41 3/4 to $4.66 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $4.41 3/4 to $4.61 3/4.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $4.27 3/4 to $4.46 3/4.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $3.99 1/4 to $4.09 1/4 per bushel.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $3.49 1/4 to $3.84 1/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $3.49 1/4 to $3.64 1/4.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $3.74 1/4 to $3.89 1/4.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $3.49 1/4 to $3.54 1/4 per bushel.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $9.29 3/4 to $9.49 3/4 per bushel.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $16 to $21 per cwt.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $23 to $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $22-$23. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $24 to $25. Great Northerns were steady at $30 to $32 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $26 to $27. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were steady $43; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $40 to $43.
