Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Sept. 29, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $5.49 1/2; December corn, $3.64 3/4; and November soybeans, $9.93.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $5.89 1/2 to $6.31 1/2, down 1/2 to 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.26 3/4 to $4.40,  down 2 cents to unchanged; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $5.64 3/4, down 2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $10.59 to $10.78 1/2, down 2 1/4 to 4 1/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $4.31 to $4.36.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $4.46 to $4.86.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado was $4.46 to $4.86.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $4.12 to $4.36.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $4.26 to $4.51.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $4.26 to $4.46.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $4.12 to $4.31.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $3.95 3/4 to $4.04 3/4 per bushel.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $3.44 3/4 to $3.79 3/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $3.44 3/4 to $3.68 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $3.69 3/4 to $3.84 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $3.44 3/4 to $3.49 3/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $3.44 3/4 to $4.49 3/4 per cwt.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $9.18 to $9.28 per bushel.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $19.50 to $22 per cwt..

Sunflowers were $16.50 to $16.75 cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $3.94 3/4 to $4.04 3/4 per bushel. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $23 to $24 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $22 to $23. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $24 to $25. Great Northerns were steady at $30 to $32 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $26 to $27. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $40 to $43.
