The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Dec. 8, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $5.63 3/4; December corn, $4.17; and January soybeans, $11.45 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $6.33 3/4 to $6.65, down 2 1/4 to 7 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.84 3/4 to $4.95 3/4, down 2 3/4 to 5 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $6.17 to $6.37, down 2 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $12.09 3/4 to $12.31 1/2, down 11 to up 16 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $4.95 to $5.02.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $5.17 to $5.37.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $5.17 to $5.37.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $4.73 to $4.92.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $4.92 to $5.12.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $4.87 to $5.07.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $4.73 to $4.87.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $4.59 3/4 to $4.64 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $4.006 to $4.39 3/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $4.44 3/4 to $4.54 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $4.54 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $4.06 3/4 to $4.11 3/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.39 3/4 to $5.49 3/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $10.55 3/4 to $10.80 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $20 to $23.50 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $4.59 3/4 to $4.64 3/4. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $23 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $23 to $27. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $23 to $25. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $26 to $27. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $40 to $43.
