Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Sept. 15, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $5.38 1/4; December corn, $3.66; and November soybeans, $9.91 1/2.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $5.83 1/4 to $6.17 1/4, down 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.14 to $4.38 3/4, down 3 1/4 to 4 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $5.41 to $5.66, down 3 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $10.56 1/2 to $10.72 1/2, down 7 1/2 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $4.23 to $4.26.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $4.38 to $4.62.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado was $4.38 to $4.62.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $3.99 to $4.28.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $4.18 to $4.38.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.44 to $6.55.

In southwest Nebraska wheat bids were $4.04 to $4.32.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $3.96 to $4.06 per bushel.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $3.42 to $3.76.

In east central Colorado, corn was $3.46 to $3.61.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $3.71 to $3.86.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $3.44 to $3.51 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $3.46 to $4.21 per cwt.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $9.01 to $9.11 1/2 per bushel.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was unavailable.

Sunflowers were unavailable.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $3.96 to $4.06 per bushel. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $25 to $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady $23 to $24. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $24 to $25. Great Northerns were steady at $32 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $26 to $27. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were steady $43; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $40 to $43.
