Corn, sorghum cash bids lower, while corn, soybeans higher
Compared to last week, cash bids for corn and sorghum were lower, while soybeans and wheat were higher according to USDA reported prices, Dec. 22.
For the week ending Dec. 17, a decrease of 161,309 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 75,045 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a increase of 128,244 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an decrease of 64,115 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Dec. 11, reported a slight decrease at 957,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was unchanged to up 4 3/4 cents. Corn was up 3 1/2 cents. Sorghum was up 3 1/2 cents. Soybeans were up 23 1/4 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City March wheat was $5.79 1/4.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $6.04 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.84 1/4 to $6.89 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents; Portland, $6.40 to $6.70, unchanged; St. Louis, $6.42 to $6.47, up 5 3/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $4.38 1/2 to $4.49 1/2, up 3 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $3.88 1/2 to $4.32 1/2, up 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $4.29 1/2 to $4.55 1/2, up 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 cents; Omaha, $4.12 1/2 to $4.21 1/2, up 3 1/2 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $12.27 1/4 to $12.37 1/4, down 1 to up 4 cents; Minneapolis, $11. 92 1/4 to $12.37 1/2, up 2 3/4 to 5 cents; southern Iowa, $12.29 1/4 to $12.55 1/2, up 2 3/4 to 12 cents; central Illinois processors, $12.53 1/4 to $12.63 1/4, up 23 1/4 cents.
