Tulsa Livestock Auction report
The Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,978 head selling on Nov. 19, compared to 2,723 head a week ago and 3,200 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers noted a much higher undertone. Quality was mostly average, few attractive. Demand was good. The offering was 21% of the receipt totals are feeder cattle over 600 pounds while 43% of the total receipts are heifers. Slaughter cows were selling unevenly steady. Slaughter bulls were selling $3 higher. A total of 355 cows and bulls sold with 46% going to packers.
