Tulsa livestock auction report

The Tulsa Feeder Cattle Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,317 head selling on May 14, compared to 2,393 head a week ago and 2,959 last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compared to a week ago, steers were selling $5 lower. Heifers were selling $6 to $8 lower. Demand was moderate. Quality was average. Receipts included 15% over 600 pounds and 38% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $2 to $5 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling steady. A total of 321 cows and bulls sold with 48% going to packers.
