The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Nebraska, reported receipts of 3,330 head selling on March 1, compared to 4,775 head a week ago and 6,650 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.

Compared to a week ago, steers were selling steady to $7 lower, heifers were selling steady to $7 higher. Demand was good on everything offered. Steers accounted for 48% and heifers 52% of the offering, with 75% weights over 600 pounds.
