Listening sessions for beginning farmers scheduled for March 27 and 29

Practical Farmers of Iowa is hosting a series of listening sessions for beginning farmers who have been farming for at least 4 years. We’re eager to hear about the barriers these “advanced” beginning farmers face so we can provide proper programming to help them succeed.

All of the events take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., include a meal and are free. Farmers from all enterprises are encouraged to attend. RSVP’s are requested at bit.ly/advfarmerworkshop.

The two remaining listening sessions will take place:

March 27—First Street Community Center, Mt. Vernon—Linn County; and

March 29—C.G. Therkildsen Activity Center, Harlan—Shelby County.
