Grain market close
The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Feb. 22, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $8.44 1/4; March corn, $6.74 3/4; and March soybeans, $16.35.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $9.59 1/4 to $9.64 1/4, up 47 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.64 3/4 to $7.65 3/4, up 20 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $17.27 to $17.29, up 33 1/2 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $8.37 to $8.57.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $8.62 to $8.92.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $8.16 3/4 to $8.91 3/4.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $8.12 3/4 to $8.91 3/4.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $8.41 3/4 to $8.91 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $8.41 3/4 to $8.96 3/4.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $8.12 3/4 to $8.31 3/4.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.22 1/2 to $7.24 3/4.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.69 3/4 to $7.03 3/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $6.74 3/4 to $699 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $6.94 3/4 to $6.89 3/4.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.69 3/4 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.64 3/4 to $6.89 3/4.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $15.60 to $15.70.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $13.50 to $14.50 per cwt.
Sunflowers were $32 per cwt.
In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.23 to $7.25. Barley was unavailable.
In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $42 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $46. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
