The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for March 15, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $11.54 1/4; May corn, $7.58; and May soybeans, $16.58 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $12.29 1/4 to $12.39 1/4, up 58 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.58 to $8.68, up 9 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $17.83 3/4 to $17.85 3/4, down 11 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $10.26 1/2 to $10.43 1/2.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $10.34 to $11.38.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $10.33 1/2 to $11.37 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $10.06 1/2 to $10.89 1/2.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $10.37 1/2 to $10.73 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $10.11 1/2 to $10.87 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $10.38 1/2 to $10.52 1/2.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.53 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.03 1/4 to $7.42 1/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.23 1/4 to $7.38 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.73 to $8.13.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.98 1/4 to $7.38 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.18 1/4 to $7.53.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $15.30 3/4 to $15.73 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $14 to $15.50 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $32.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.53. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $42 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $46. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
