Compared to a week ago, grass weight steers were selling $3 to $5 higher and feedlot placements were selling $3 to $5 lower. Heifers were selling $2 to $5 higher. In house and internet buyers bid readily all day long for top quality 1 iron ranch raised cattle even with the CME cattle boards trading sharply lower on the day. The supply included 58% steers with 86% of the run over 600 pounds.
