Most hay prices steady

In Nebraska, alfalfa and grass hay sold fully steady. Dehydrated alfalfa pellets and ground and delivered hay sold steady. Some areas of the state reporting alfalfa hay is getting tight, especially grinding type hay, according to the USDA Market News Service, Jan. 19. In South Dakota, East River and West River areas, very limited reported sales for this week. Hay prices continue to hold mostly steady, straw steady. Demand was light to moderate this past week as producers are keeping their asking prices at steady levels.
