Colorado’s first-ever Multi-Sector Plan on Aging, which serves as a blueprint for these comprehensive plans, is now available on the Multi-Sector Plan on Aging website.

This is the first year of the 10-year plan, and new reports and initiatives will be developed and released annually. The plan lays out five high-level goals:

  1. Support age-friendly, connected communities
  2. develop a healthcare system that supports older adults;
  3. sustain and tailor long-term services and supports
  4. bolster Colorado’s economy
  5. prioritize economic security for older Coloradans.

For the first time in the state’s history, more Coloradoans are older than 60 than are younger than 18, said Kristine Burrows, the state’s department of human resources senior specialist. For more information, visit www.aging.colorado.gov.
