Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for July 7, reported in futures trading that Chicago July soft red winter wheat was $4.92 1/4, up 2 3/4 cents; July corn, $3.45, down 1 1/2 cents; and July soybeans, $8.95 1/4, down 3 1/4 cents.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $5.37 1/4 to $5.39 1/4, up 2 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $3.97 to $3.99, down 1 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.99 to $8.61 1/2, down 6 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $9.57 1/4 to $9.58 1/4, down 3 1/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $4.09.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $4.11 to $4.41.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was mostly 2 cents higher, at $4.01 to $4.11.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $3.78 to $4.01.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $3.86 to $4.11.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $3.96 to $4.16.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $3.78 to $4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 3 cents lower and $3.78 to $3.90 per bushel.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $3.23 to $3.43.

In east central Colorado, corn was $3.14 to $3.24.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $3.44 to $3.59.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $3.24 to $3.45 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 4 to 5 cents lower at $6.14 to $6.41 per cwt.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 2 to 3 cents lower at $7.83 to $8.13 per bushel.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $12 to $13.50 per cwt., mostly $13.

Sunflowers were $18.50 cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $3.90 per bushel. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady $38 to $40 per cwt. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $25 to $27. Great Northern quotes were unavailable in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $30 to $35. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were unavailable.
