The Pratt Livestock cattle auction, Pratt, Kansas, Aug. 23, reported receipts of 2,395 head as of 3 p.m., according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kansas.

Compared to a week ago, the feeder steers weighing 900 to 950 pounds were selling $2 to $3 higher, with a slightly lower undertone on all other comparable weights. The feeder heifers on comparable weights were mostly steady.
