Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction report
The Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 1,184 head selling on Nov. 15, compared to 1,253 head a week ago, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
Comparing to the pre-conditioned sale a week ago, lightweight heifers remained the same, lightweight steers were selling the same or $7 to $10 dollars higher. Calves 500 pounds and heavier were selling lower, but only in comparison to the pre-conditioned sale. Trade was moderate to active. Receipts included 53% steers, 47% heifers, 48% of cattle were over 600 pounds.
