The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Feb. 16, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.57 1/2; March corn, $5.52 1/4; and March soybeans, $13.84 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.14 3/4 to $7.71 1/2, up 16 3/4 to 20 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.10 to $6.27 1/4, up 13 to 15 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.52 1/4 to $7.72 1/4, up 13 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.55 3/4 to $14.64 3/4, up 12 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.97 1/2 to $6.02 1/2.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.18 to $6.48.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.17 1/2 to $6.47 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.73 1/2 to $5.92 1/2.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.92 1/2 to $6.27 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.87 1/2 to $6.27 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.73 1/2 to $5.92 1/2.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.97 1/4 to $6.12 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.41 1/4 to $5.72 1/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.77 1/4 to $5.87 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.92 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.34 1/4 to $5.41 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.72 1/4 to $6.87 1/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.94 3/4 to $13.9 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $21 to $26.50 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19.25 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.97 to $6.12. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $30 to $32. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $29-$32. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
