High Plains Cattle Sales Report

The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending June 14, reported receipts of 40,576 head compared to 66,886 head a week ago and 49,086 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.

The report was based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.

Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 8,846 head, 1,300 to 1,675 lbs., 253.00 to 259.00 (256.09); 65 to 80% Choice, 1,481 head, 1,450 to 1,600 lbs., 252.00 to 258.00 (256.05); 35 to 65% Choice, 653 head, 1,500 to 1,575 lbs., 256.00. Live delivered basis, over 80% Choice, 4,191 head, 1,350 to 1,600 lbs., 255.00 to 260.00 (257.91). Dressed delivered basis, over 80% Choice, 5,640 head, 847 to 1,104 lbs., 400.00 to 409.00 (404.88); 65 to 80% Choice, 33 head, 1,032 lbs., 405.00.
